Solexa is developing sequencing-by-synthesis technology. They are focusing on highly parallel short-read sequencing.
History:
Originally spun out from Cambridge University, Solexa merged with Lynx in 2005. They were then acquired by Illumina in 2007. The offices in Hayward, CA and Little Chesterford, UK are being maintained.
