Orchid BioSciences was primarily focused on SNP genotyping. However, as they are rapidly running out of cash (11/2002), they have decided to sell their SNP genotyping technology and services business (which ended up going to Beckman Coulter). Instead, they intend to apply their technology internally, developing what they call their GeneShield personalized medicine platform. Stay tuned to see if they can pull it off.
