NimbleGen uses micromirrors to rapidly generate custom oligonucleotide microarrays photolithographically, each having up to 400,000 features. Because they use technology similar to that of Affymetrix, their entire manufacturing and service-based business operates out of Iceland (which is immune to the Affy patents for some reason). Want to buy the chips and do the hybridization yourself? Ever been to Iceland? I've heard their summers are very nice.
