Dow AgroSciences started as DowElanco, a joint venture between Dow Chemical Company and the Plant Sciences business of Eli Lilly in 1989. Dow Chemical bought out Lilly's interest in 1997 and the name changed to Dow AgroSciences in 1998. They have since acquired Mycogen Seeds, Brazil Seeds, Cargill Hybrid Seeds and the Rohm and Haas Agricultural Chemicals business. |
