Agensys develops humanized monoclonal antibody cancer therapeutics, focusing on solid tumors of the prostate, kidney, bladder, lung and colon. Using a genomic screening strategy, they have developed a portfolio of 50 cancer targets. They derive these targets from patient derived tumors (as opposed to cancer cell lines) which are propagated using xenograft mouse models.
Their business plan involves both in house clinical development of monoclonal-based cancer therapeutics and collaborations with other companies to develop other forms of cancer therapeutics (e.g., small molecule-based therapeutics) for their cancer targets.
